The Level 2 Manual Handling course provides an effective means of ensuring that the learner is aware of their responsibilities and understand the principles of the safe moving and lifting of a load. Manual handling accidents account for more than one third of all accidents reported each year to the enforcing authorities
The course is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training. Aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof by hand or by bodily force.
How does it work?
It can be delivered as a 1/2 day course for those candidates who only want to achieve the Level 2 award in the Principles of Manual Handling.
Alternatively learners can attend a further 1/2 day training and assessment session to learn about practical handling techniques and achieve the Level 2 Award in the Principles and Practice of Manual Handling.
